Important Point before close account

Please ensure that your Demat account contains no holdings with Maintain Zero Balance. If you have stocks then sold them or You have the option of selling your holdings or transferring them to a different Demat account.

Steps to close Zerodha Account online

Fill out the closure form in Microsoft Word or any other text editor.

Sign up for Digio or log in if you already have an account.

Upload the closure form by clicking Add document.

Select the sign icon..

Enter your VID and once you do you will receive an OTP.

When you enter your OTP, a digital signature is added to the account closure form. Once the signature has been affixed, you must download it and submit it by raising a ticket below.

Raise a ticket

When you have finished entering all of the information, the “Close Account” button at the bottom will become active.

Close the account by clicking the button. After you submit the account closure request, it will take 8 to 9 working days to close your account.
