There is one simple way to close the Upstox Account online. Contact Customer care with your registered phone Number or Chat, they will send you a link to your registered mobile number. After that, you want to follow the steps below.

Steps to close the Upstox Account online

  • Please submit a ticket here to close your account.
  • Then, you will get a URL via SMS to your registered mobile number. The link would only be valid for 30 days.
  • Open the link
  • The Account Closure Request page will appear after you log in.
  • Please ensure that your Demat account contains no holdings with a Maintain Zero Balance.
  • If you have stocks, then sold them or You have the option of selling your holdings or transferring them to a different Demat account.
  • You will need to select the reason for closure from the drop-down menu.
  • When you have finished entering all of the information, the “Close Account” button at the bottom will become active.
  • Close the account by clicking the button. After you submit the account closure request, it will take 8 to 9 working days to close your account.

How to close Upstox Account Offline?

This is a very easy process for every Upstox client, but in the Covid situation, the Upstox employees are working from home, so the offline process takes time (30 Days), so it’s better to communicate via an online application.
